Michele’s guest on Tuesday, July 25 is Rabbi Daniel Cohen, Senior Rabbi at Congregation Agudath Sholom in Stamford, Connecticut, the largest modern orthodox synagogue in New England. Rabbi Cohen has served in the rabbinate for over twenty years and is co-host of the nationally syndicated radio show, “The Rabbi and the Reverend” on Sunday mornings at 11 AM and evenings at 9 PM. Shelia O’Brien, Nurse Care Manager
Sheila O’Brien, Nurse Care Manager, owner and operator of O’Brien Care Management, joined Michele to discuss important issues facing many families in this complex medical world we face today. Both Sheila and her team help clients and their families manage their homes in a safe and efficient manner, help them find their next place to live and so much more. She has an extensive nursing background holding both a New York and Connecticut license. Sheila has worked in St. Vincent’s Medical Center and Beth Israel Hospital and serves on the Board of Trustees for St. Vincent’s College.

Osborn Home Care Welcomes Joyce White as Business Development Manager for Westchester County
Joyce White joins Osborn Home Care as Business Development Manager for Westchester County. As self-proclaimed “People Person,” her role is to build upon the reputation of the 20-year old home care provider by opening doors to new relationships with physicians, other referral sources and community organizations in the region. Osborn Home Care has been providing high quality, home care to seniors in Westchester County for over 20 years. The agency has a home-maker companion agency in Greenwich, Connecticut as well. Ms. White comes to Osborn Home Care from Westchester Magazine where she was an Account Executive responsible for sales promotion and client events. She and her family live in Peekskill, New York.
Osborn Home Care Staff Certified for New Pilot Program Our own Laurie Pensiero, Business Development Manager, completed training to be one of thirteen volunteers who are credentialed for a new pilot program at Stamford Hospital. The program was designed with the Alzheimer’s Association. Volunteers are trained to meet one-to-one and engage with patients during their hospital stay who are experiencing delirium. They also meet with Alzheimer’s and dementia patients at the hospital. The goal of this program is to improve overall quality of the patient’s stay and reduce falls and re-admissions.
Five Star Training for OHC Aides
Joan Nimmo, LCSW, from My Second Home Intergenerational adult day program, worked on dementia training with our newest home health aides. They completed the Osborn Home Care Five Star Training today. We welcome them to the OHC family!
