Reducing Stress in Our Lives
Stress Awareness Month has been recognized every April since 1992, but stress continues to be an issue in our lives not matter our age.
Just how good is walking a dog for you? Is it truly yet another health benefit? Yet another great reason to own a dog?
A British study found older dog owners who walked their dogs at least once a day got at minimum of 20 percent more activity than people without dogs. They also spent less time perfecting the art of turning into a coach potato. Clearly, exercise is a well known benefit for health and longevity, which is what we all want!
Roni Caryn Rabin explains all of that and more in NYT, "Quantifying the Benefits of Owning a Dog." This might be just what you need to finally welcome a "paw-some" new friend into your home!
