MyRye.com reported that the City of Rye Planning Commission voted to approve The Osborn’s expansion plan at its meeting on June 23, 2026.
The approval clears the way for the first major expansion at The Osborn in more than 25 years, since the project known as Pathway 2000. Earlier in the month, on June 9, the Commission had issued a negative declaration under the State Environmental Quality Review Act, determining that the proposed development would not have a significant adverse environmental impact and would not require a full environmental impact statement.
At the June 23 session, the Commission reviewed the final site plan review from its outside consultants, discussed its resolution, and voted to approve. Publisher Jay Sears covered the meeting and posted video of the full session.
