Matthew G. Anderson, President and CEO of The Osborn.
The Rye Record has published a profile of Matt Anderson, President and CEO of The Osborn, written by longtime Rye resident Sol Hurwitz.
The article traces the nearly decade-long path behind The Osborn’s reimagination, from early conversations with Rye officials in 2018 through the zoning change approved by the City Council in 2022 and the Planning Commission’s recent approval of the plan. It covers what the project will add to the 56-acre campus, including independent living apartments, a new assisted living building, a wellness center, cottages, underground parking and new dining options.
Hurwitz also writes about Anderson’s path to The Osborn, where he has spent more than 25 years, and his role in the wider Rye community. Former Board of Trustees chairman Bill Pearson is quoted on Anderson’s ability to know residents and staff personally.
Anderson told the paper that the reimagination is about strengthening The Osborn’s ability to offer the full range of care, from independent living through skilled nursing and rehabilitation, for seniors who want an active lifestyle with professional health care available whenever it is needed.
