Foundation & Giving

Founded in 2015, The Osborn Foundation enables residents, families, friends, and community donors to support programs that aim to enhance quality of life at The Osborn and across the greater Rye, NY community.

The One With Philanthropy That Changes Lives

Gifts can be directed to our Charity Care program (for residents who outlive their resources), academic scholarships, employee enrichment, Arboretum conservation, or designated as unrestricted to meet the greatest needs. 

Key Programs

Employee Enrichment Program

Recognizes the hard work, commitment, and expertise of team members, while providing additional opportunities for professional training.

Arboretum Conservation Program

Protects the health of The Osbornโ€™s 56-acre arboretum campus, comprised of 1,021 trees and representing 115 tree species.

Charity Care Program

Supports The Osbornโ€™s residents and Home Care clients who have outlived their resources.

Academic Achievement Program

Established by The Sterling Park Residentsโ€™ Association, this program awards the children of Osborn team members who are pursuing a secondary education. Nearly 50 students participate in this program annually.

Is The Osborn Foundation a nonprofit organization?

Yes, The Osborn Foundation is a not-for-profit, tax exempt 501c3 organization. EIN #47-4600665. Any donation to The Osborn Foundation will be personally acknowledged and publicly recognized in The Osborn Foundation Donor Report.

Is my gift tax deductible?

Yes, financial contributions are tax deductible to the full extent of the law. You should consult your tax advisor for information about tax deductibility.

Can I make a memorable or tribute gift?

Yes, any gift to The Osborn Foundation may be designated in memory of a loved one, family member, friend, colleague or caregiver. Gifts can be made online via the donate button below. If you are donating by check, please note on the check who you are honoring.

What gift types are accepted?

The Osborn Foundation accepts gifts of cash, securities, and gifts in kind on a case-by-case basis in accordance with our Gift Acceptance Policy.โ€ฏ

How can I increase the impact of my gift?

Many companies offer matching gift programs to employees, board members and retirees. Please check with the company you work for, or have retired from, to inquire about the details of their program.
