Ian Frazier - American non-fiction author and humorist for the New Yorker.
For the past 15 years, Ian Frazier has been walking the Bronx. "Paradise Bronx" reveals the amazingly rich and tumultuous history of this various piece of our greatest city. From Jonas Bronck, who bought land from the local Native Americans, to the crucial role the Bronx played in the American Revolution and especially revels in the borough's "boom era" of the 20th century, when immigrants fled the jampacked Lower East Side to "Paradise Bronx" to the formerly gang-wracked that gave birth to hip-hop and ends with the current revitalization/gentrification of the Bronx.
