The Employee of Distinction Award recognizes the extraordinary dedication of direct service and indirect service staff, not part of upper management. There are many different qualities the candidate can have. Perhaps they have positively affected the quality of life of those served or cared for, greatly improved programs which enhanced the overall services or displays a strong commitment to the organization. Whatever the reason, there are only two awards presented in the Hudson Valley region.
Our very own Sonia Goldson, HHA, an Assisted Living Care Coordinator was nominated and will be officially awarded the Employee of Distinction by LeadingAge New York in June. Not only are winners are presented with a certificate and a $100 but the New York State Legislature recognizes the dedication of each of the award winners with a presentation of a legislative resolution.
The Osborn celebrated early when we announced to all that Sonia had won the LeadingAge NY. Congratulations Sonia!!!
