Each year during the month of January, the medical community seeks to enlighten the public about thyroid issues. Millions of people live with them, but remain undiagnosed and untreated.
As many of us have heard, the Mediterranean diet - high in veggies, fruits, olive oil and whole grains plus moderate protein and has been shown to be beneficial in reducing the risk for diabetes, heart disease and stroke.
